Yes, exactly! I understand that James has already helped to pick up that discussion thread?

Dear James/Ayesha, I am new to this structure (sub-working group) would request to please provide bit orientation of different sub-groups under Child health task force Steering committee or global health cluster of child health so we can prioritize need accordingly and sense checking who is doing what under this umbrella, to avoid duplication

@Dyness, happy to follow up with you on South Sudan as one of the countries I closely support (I may also be going next Feb. on assignment)--unless any others here would like to jump in on South Sudan!

Thanks Nefra. Yes, I would certainly like to discuss SS further as we are also talking with MIHR. Great to hear that you might be traveling there, as being in the country is the best way of understanding the context.

Another thing that other subgroups have been successful at is convening members to review and provide inputs on global goods through a consultative processes. Subgroups have done this with the WHO pediatric quality of care standards and indicators, health promoting schools guidance and standards, and USAID's climate strategy as a few examples.

The membership on paper or the mailing list is larger. Most people are interested in specific events or topics. Thus the attendance on this call is not a true reflection of the membership. We need a strong agenda to attract people back.

Excellent point, @Sita.

I fully agree James, we need more membership

There are 416 members signed up for the CHEHS subgroup. So there is interest :)

Thank you for the great discussion, I have to leave for another call. Looking forward to hear more on next steps

And while not everyone can make the planning/working calls, people listen to the recordings and there's usually greater participation when there are external presentations.

I think it is more about engaging existing members (i.e. those signed up) of the group and have specific asks for them. +1 Nefra!

I agree with setting the priorities and our ways of working with this group. Apologies I have to jump to another meeting. Thanks to all

The link is for people who are not already signed up FYI. For those already signed up for the CHTF but not the subgroup they can update their profile through the link at the bottom of any email announcement.
