Was there also an alternative option in the time when connective/cellphone is down?

OCHA and colleagues are reviewing the indicators for each intervention area and we understand that ECD colleagues are part of these discussion already. Let us know if you would like to be looped in, if not already engaged.

Once COVID Vaccinations are available (in the future), is there any discussion about integrating COVID vaccinations for adults (primarily the parents and older children) with routine child immunization programs?
Fouzia Shafique
50:57
@Elana, great! we'll follow up on it.
Katie Murphy
52:16
@Fouzia— please do loop us into the OCHA work! And regarding your question about alternatives, we tried to consider several options: radio, loudspeakers, etc., but there were significant obstacles for each of the alternatives. We continued with the phone-based option, but are now working to provide training and support to adolescent girls who can serve as in-person facilitators for their family group/ sub-block
Sreehari Madhavankutty Nair
55:40
@katie, it's an excellent way to reach families to sensitise them on ECD. But how far it is practical to keep them in loop for the first 1000 days. i am trying to do similar activity foracohort of 10k PW for two years continuously. butnow started from birth to one year. a lot of barriers, mostly the messages are not heard forwhole one minute which we offered by at least 30% of the beneficiaries
Katie Murphy
01:00:08
Really interesting, @Sreehari— I would love to learn more about your program. Dosage and length of program is something we’re really trying to understand better, but at least a year seems to be optimal; we also need to build the evidence base around this, which will also help advocate for these types of programs, longer-term funding, and hopefully integration into national systems (where possible)

Question for Ahmadu: What is the eligibility criteria for those who can apply for this new funding?
