Thank you Dr Vasantha, very impressive ppt. the impact of good collaboration with the medical schools. you showed that the nurse graduates' knowledge and skills was very low. Any action taken to improve the standards of these pre service training schools?

Since one of the many gaps that may be addressed while using a nurse mentoring method is capacity building. What about the policy decision-making gaps, the lack of adequate infrastructure, and the lack of a strong data analysis system?

Nurse Mentoring initiative focusses on capacity building only. TSU in general doesn’t support at strengthening the infrastructure directly. On data and data analysis , there is dashboard, data systems, data analysts etc and the next presenter will elaborate

I was wondering if you could talk more about changing organizational culture from fear and covering up errors to quality improvement and problem solving approaches? Any comments about change in terms of how mistakes and shortcomings are handled? And/or reflections on gender/class/caste in the medical hierarchy?

Great question. The embedded nature of support by TSU, being part of the journey and data being used for problem solving are some of the approaches. But in Government the stick is used more than required
