I think we have to incentivize online learning a bit. Some have to be nudged a lot and later realize they like it.

01:01:48
Q: How long are students enrolled in EnGen courses? What kind of support do teachers offer to students in EnGen courses?
Jillian Gierke
01:05:49
Jacqueline – it varies by program. At Garces, most of our courses are 10 weeks of instruction with one 1 additional week for assessment and reflection. We also have a five week course for Food Safety. It’s really up to you how you want to schedule courses.
Jacqueline Vulcano
01:07:56
@Jillian - How do manage the EnGen seats? Do students have access for a certain period of time?
Jillian Gierke
01:09:24
American workplace culture, especially with email writing, is so important! When we hire our students, they’re afraid at first to compose emails but with enough exposure it becomes much easier.
Jillian Gierke
01:10:33
@Jacqueline – Yes, students enroll each quarter and have access for the duration of that quarter.
Paulina Navas
01:10:59
Q: EnGen certifies these courses so that they can be listed on a resume?
Jacqueline Vulcano
01:11:33
Q: Do either of you offer English courses that are only asynchronous or do all classes have an in-person part?
