41:46
I LOVE to hear company commitment to ESL!!!!

44:03
What an impressive and holistic mission!

44:31
Agree Tadd. Very enlightened.

47:16
Feel free to add questions for Kamille to the chat box! :)

49:40
Always a smart move to make friends with IT...

49:48
In addition to the HR app that learners needed to be able to use, are there other digital skills that they need to use on the job?

52:36
Has your company considered partnering with a bilingual technical distance education expert?

53:17
I love this workplace model!

53:19
Kamille, how do you address issues of program evaluation? Do you have an evaluation team? What kinds of data do you collect for program improvement decision making?

54:23
What a wonderful holistic approach to helping people!!! Love the vision of the employer.

54:53
How do you assess digital literacy skills?

55:05
NorthStar's a great tool

55:25
Do you have data on student engagement? How did you encourage engagement?

56:27
Kamille, Do you use the student’s goals and interests to evaluate their learning? Christine Muller

01:03:07
They were beautiful! An ESOL student of mine gave me a slab of Cambria marble as a thank you gift one time :)

01:03:10
Yes!

01:03:18
A Big Question: How can adult educators work with employers, labor unions, and other partners to increase investment in this kind of integrated, multi-purpose education for incumbent workers (at local, state, and national levels)?

01:03:48
You read my mind, Paul.

01:04:34
Thanks, Paul! Please, everyone continue to add questions here. If we don't get to them during the Q & A, we'll encourage you to join breakout rooms to continue the conversation!

01:05:48
Love seeing the comprehensive and stackable pathways!

01:05:49
Adding to Paul's question. Can we get employer testimonies from Cambria and Tyson to use with employers?

01:07:02
I love the employer's efforts with ELLs and opening up the doors to upskilling incumbent employees.

01:07:23
thanks, Anson!

01:08:27
Digital skills are foundational!

01:09:26
Do you use both Burlington English and EnGen? Are they complementary or do they overlap?

01:09:36
These stories are very helpful and important to share, but this idea of basic education for incumbent workers has dwindled in our field in the past 2-3 decades. This is despite the ongoing calls from employers for workers who have the kinds of skills described in this webinar. Federal, state, and local governments, individual employers and trade associations, and labor unions and other stakeholders should be collaborating on this issue. (There are great models from previous years that could be learned from and built on.)

01:11:05
What was the last thing Life?

01:11:47
Anson, is Tyson Foods able to help employees get access to the Internet, for example from home) too affordable computers at home, and to help maintaining their devices in Internet services? Do you have employee-centered digital navigators to help with this?

01:11:48
@Christine, yes, it was "LifeEquitable access to what we all take for granted"

01:12:36
Which devices did you chose? tablets, phones, laptops?

01:13:17
Christine Muller - Will we get a recording of this webinar? It is better than the other one this afternoon!

01:13:49
Is Tyson willing to share their curriculum?

01:14:02
Absolutely, Christine! All resources will be sent in a follow-up email and will be posted on our resources page: https://edtech.worlded.org/tips-for-distance-learning/strategy-session-resources/

01:19:47
Such an important point Anson and Kamilla both brought up about impact of digital skills on employee engagement and agency, especially as more and more workplaces adopt digital-enabled workflows and processes. Anson, in terms of policy implications which you mentioned earlier, what are you most energized by?
