I’m intrigued but the idea of performance based assessments. I think they have great potential for assessing digital problem solving or creative blending of basic skill to accomplish task. Would love to hear what you think about that.

Have you done any research or design work on digital literacy skills for specific contexts such as family: work: community; civic participation? If not, is this being considered for future research?

I would love to hear some ideas on how to integrate a performance based assessment into an LMS like Google Classroom. We are looking at using Classroom to manage some of our "lab" based classes and it would be nice to have students begin with an assessment and then have tailored assignments

Our low level ESOL population has really struggled in this environment.

@Megan. I think the org that I mentioned that's used performance based assessments is now using Google Classroom. I could follow-up with them and ask!
Megan Brentlinger

@Stacey. Thanks, there are just so many great resources and we need a way to organize everything so that everyone knows exactly which "modules" or "topics" will be most beneficial for the student and that it's EASY for the teacher and the student to find the resources and activities from multiple sources :)

@Priyanka, thank you for making the connection between the digital divide and racial equity! It is often overlooked.

This aligns with The "American Jobs Plan" proposing broadband upgrades and 100% access (https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2021/03/31/fact-sheet-the-american-jobs-plan/) I can see a partnership or funding infusion from this (potential) federal support to this project.
