ACIP Updates to Pneumococcal Vaccines (this event will run from 12:15pm - 1:00pm)
Please join the Massachusetts Adult Immunization Coalition and Dr. Camille Kotton of Mass General Hospital and the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for an educational session around the recent updates to Pneumococcal Vaccine. This free event will run from 12:15-1:00pm

Dr. Kotton will provide a brief overview on pneumococcal disease, discuss the updated pneumococcal vaccine recommendations, and present clinical cases.

As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

1. Understand the clinical importance of pneumococcal vaccination.
2. Incorporate vaccine recommendations into routine medical care.
3. Understand the differences between various pneumococcal vaccine clinical information.

Camille Nelson Kotton MD, FIDSA, FAST is the clinical director of the Transplant Infectious Disease and Immunocompromised Host Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and Associate Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. She is a member of the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and is involved in national decisions regarding COVID-19 and other vaccines.
